Travel To Colombia!
-- Travel To Colombia --

You may be a little wary about visiting Colombia, with all the stories of rebels and other unsavory characters, but this is a fantastic country to travel to, that has some amazing scenery, great culture, and amazing experiences.
CarnavalLike most other South American countries you’ve heard of, Colombians love a good party. That happens in the form of El Joselito Carnaval, which is the world’s second largest Carnaval. Picture dancing in the streets till dawn, fantastic costumes and excitement in bucket loads, and you may have some idea of what Carnaval is about!
Kite boardingWater sport is one thing. Flying above the waves on a kite is quite another. If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush to counteract the lethargy you’re likely to feel from lazing on the beach, eating too much fabulous food, and dancing the night away, then kite boarding lessons are a great idea! -- Travel To Colombia --

Parque Nacional TayronaIf you like your beach holidays secluded, and you don’t mind roughing it a little, then Parque Nacional Tayrona is the place to go. Isolated and beautiful, you can pitch your tent virtually on the beach. Imagine waking up to a breakfast of grilled seafood, and coffee straight off the fire, and then watching the sun rise over the Caribbean, before spending a long, lazy day wandering up the beach, and lazing in the sun. That, I’m sure you agree, makes up for any lack of room service!
ShoppingThere’s shopping, and then there’s Shopping. In Colombia, the way to shop is to head off to the incredibly busy street markets, get close to the locals, eat traditional food straight from the street vendors, and shop for traditional arts and crafts. -- Travel To Colombia --
National MuseumIf you want to see exactly what Colombia is really about, visiting the National Museum is the place to do it. It has displays on everything related to the history of this fascinating country, and is housed in an old jail, which makes the building a part of the displays! Definitely a great way to find out more about the history of the Colombian people, and the ancient tribes that preceded them. Another great museum to visit is the Museo del Oro, which has a fantastic display of pre Colombian golden artifacts. If you’ve ever wondered what the Spanish conquistadors were looking for, this is where you find out!
The Salt CathedralEven if visiting religious sites is not your thing, a visit to the Catedral del Sal in Zipaquir is worth it. This building, along with all its features, including the baptismal font, is carved out of salt! Just one more fascinating site in a fascinating country. Of course, there are beaches, romantic hotel getaways, jungles, and a lot more to explore in Colombia. What makes it so different though is the history and the culture, and if you are planning a trip to this ancient country, then I’d really suggest you venture a little off the tourist track, and find the real history and culture of the place. Then again, there are cities, nightclubs, and a whole lot more to keep you busy too, so this is a destination that offers it all! -- Travel To Colombia --
