Travel In Australia

If you love hot weather, friendly people, fabulous food, and something a little different, Australia is for you!

While it’s a developed country, with all the comforts of home, there are some unique things to see and do, and you’re guaranteed to see something out of the ordinary!

Sydney

No holiday down under is complete without a trip to Sydney. If you like beaches, there are some great options, but if you want the real Sydney experience, you have to visit the opera house, and the harbor bridge. All the better to do so at night, when they’re lit up, and the city lights are laid out like a carpet. Follow that up with a meal in one of Sydney’s world famous restaurants, and a night clubbing. There are also romantic charter boats in the harbor area, and you can view some of the amazing homes of the rich and famous!

The Great Ocean Road

If you like romantic drives, the Great Ocean Road is a must see attraction down under. It winds along the coastline for more than two hundred miles in Victoria, and with rental accommodation, pubs and restaurants, you can see the amazing view at sunset, and then spend a few days exploring.

Ayers Rock

Even if you’re not that interested in geography, you’ll have to make time to see Ayers Rock in Uluru-Tjuta National Park. This strange, unique, absolutely huge red rock, in the middle of the outback, is so special, and a symbol of Australia. If you can stay in the park or surrounding areas overnight, plan your trip for sunrise or sunset – the range of colors flashing across the rock is breathtaking.

The Great Barrier Reef

After you’ve been to the city, travelled the coastline, and viewed the amazing Ayers Rock, chances are you’ll be ready for something a little more laid back. Visiting the Great Barrier Reef and the island resorts around it is a great option. Spend some time relaxing at your resort, or on the beach, and then, once you’re rested and relaxed, go diving in the reef. The colors, and variety of marine life is mind boggling, and the reef is the largest coral reef in the world!

Tasmania

Travel In AustraliaThe island of Tasmania is a wonderful place to go camping, hiking, or just to take in the amazing scenery. There are plenty of romantic hideaways, and you can spend some time exploring, or have a look at the colonial architecture in Hobart, on the Derwent River.

Whether you plan a trip to Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra or Melbourne, or travel through the outback, lie on the beaches near the Great Barrier Reef, or look at the strange marsupials native to Australia, this is a great place for a relaxed, romantic getaway.

As far as culture goes, there is a lot to see and do, from traditional aboriginal art to more modern museums and more, Australia has something for everyone. If you like wide open spaces, warm waters, surfing or the bright lights of the big city, and whether you’re travelling alone, or with your beloved, you’ll certainly find something perfect in Australia.
