Beaches

If you’re like most people, escaping from grey days and boring jobs means one thing: hitting the beach! Bermuda has some fabulous beaches, like Chaplin beach, and Horseshoe Bay, Warwick Long Bay and Stonehole, all of which offer miles of white sand, clear, warm water, and scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities. So whether you like your beach experiences lazy and laid back, or with a little more action and adventure, there’s something for you.

If you really want to do something romantic, why not get married on the Bermudan beach, or renew your vows? This is surprisingly popular, and any one of the small hotels along the beach could be of assistance.

Crystal Cave

If you’re not claustrophobic, a trip to Crystal Cave is a fascinating and fun experience. There’s a pontoon to walk, where you can see the crystal clear waters, as well as stalactites and stalagmites that have taken millions of years to form.

Wander in the Gardens

A trip to the botanical gardens is a great option for a leisurely, romantic stroll through the amazing vegetation, with orchids and cacti adding a splash of color to the brilliant greens. There’s also a craft shop, so if you’re looking for souvenirs or gifts for family and friends at home, it’s a great place to do some shopping!

Astwood Cove

If you’re looking for the perfect spot for an afternoon picnic, then the isolated and peaceful Astwood Cove is the perfect place for it.

Visit the Lighthouses

Bermuda has several lighthouses, but one of the most famous is Gibbs Hill, and there’s a restaurant where you can have lunch overlooking the sea, or shop for keepsakes. Or just go to have a unique view of Bermuda, and take some amazing pictures to commemorate your trip.

If you want a little excitement, nightlife and some fantastic seafood, then a visit to the small town of St George is a great idea. It’s also a chance to meet the locals, and get a closer look at life in Bermuda.

Go to the Zoo!

If you’re anything like me, a trip to the zoo is still something you love to do – seeing the indigenous animals in any country is interesting, and if you’re interested in wildlife, a visit to the Bermuda zoo will be a fun trip. Then again, there’s also an aquarium, where you can look at sea horses, tropical fish, and even a shark! Definitely great fun and a great place to take some holiday snaps!
