The Lake House Because it is about the love of two people who live two years apart, but by sheer happenstance, meet with the help of a mailbox, which causes the rift in the fabric of time, and how their relationship develops over the years, especially when each one wants desperately to meet the other. It is all about connection and another fine example of how love, though in a way star crossed, transcends time.
