In the CitiesIf you’re a city dweller through and through, Spain has some fantastic cities, filled with all the modern conveniences we all love, but with a few extras to make your trip special.Barcelona, while a modern city through and through, does have some unique attractions. If you like art, for instance, you can visit either the Picasso or Dali museums. If architecture is more your thing, then take a walking tour, and have a look at Gauda, the famous architect’s works. In Madrid, there’s the world famous Toledo cathedral to explore, and the Prado art museum. Then again, if you like your tours a little voyeuristic, take a trip to see the Royal Palace, and see how the Spanish royalty live. Just outside Madrid, there’s the Roman Aqueduct at Segovia, where you can see ancient architecture up close and personal. Of course, both are also modern cities, and there is nightlife in abundance, restaurants and the famous tapas bars, as well as shopping and other activities to keep you busy. -- Spain Travel Tips --

The Southern ProvincesIn the south of Spain, it’s all about sunshine, beaches, and relaxation. If you plan to spend your holdiys doing nothing more strenuous than turning occasionally to perfect your tan, then this is probably the place to do it. If you do have a little energy and inclination, you could find a few other things to do in between working on that tan. In Cadiz, there’s the dancing horses at the Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art, or visit a sherry bodega to sample one of the area’s most famous exports. The ancient city of Cadiz itself offers a hint of the rich past of Spain, however, if you would like to see real history, the Roman ruins at Bolonia, some of the best preserved in the country, that will give you the feeling of stepping back in time. Then again, if you’re looking for adventure, surfing at Tarifa may be just the thing for you. In Cordoba, take in a Flamenco show, where you can watch the senoritas dancing to traditional music, while you tuck into rich, ripe red tomatoes, prepared in the traditional Salmorejo, or view archaeological sites dating back to the 11th Century, at Medina Azhara. -- Spain Travel Tips --
Northern Spain In San Sebastian in the North, you will find some of the best restaurants and tapas bar in Spain, or take a romantic drive along the craggy, rugged Basque coastline, following the twisting road as it hugs the rocky shore. By the time you’ve driven for a while, you’ll have built up a thirst, so why not sample the local Basque cider. If you’re feeling very energetic, a hike in the Pyrenees might be an idea, and worth the walk for the view. Whether you opt to explore cities, laze on beaches, sample local cuisine, culture and art, or visit one of the awesome natural features of Spain, you’re guaranteed a great holiday. -- Spain Travel Tips --
