A place that might seem romantic to one person may be thought of as completely dreadful to someone else.

For this reason, a lot of planning should go into any romantic couples retreat - if you want to do it right that is! ;)

Take my relationship for example. Though my husband and I are similar in a lot of ways, we're both very different people. Here's how our interests differ:

Even though I don't mind sporty activities now and then, I probably wouldn't plan a vacation for myself around it. For my husband on the other hand, if I was planning to surprise him with a "romantic" vacation, a trip filled with sporty activities would be exactly the kind of thing he'd LOVE.

This is a perfect example of why it's always important to take your partner's interests and personality into consideration before deciding on your romantic holiday destinations.
