Romantic Scavenger Hunt

-- Romantic Scavenger Hunt --

Want to do something truly special for your sweetheart that she’ll remember forever? A romantic scavenger hunt is the perfect idea! It can be as budget-friendly or as extravagant as you like.

Start off Simple

The first clue should be something that will surprise the recipient – remember, she doesn’t have a clue what she’s in for! An example of a start clue could be “Welcome home from work, Sweetheart! I know you must be exhausted – here is some bubble bath. Go take a soak and then open this box.” This clue tells her exactly what to do, and sets her up for the next clue.

Clue # 2

Once she’s take a bath, she’ll likely be dying of anticipation, and tear right into the box, which could contain a gorgeous dress in her size. Add a note that says, “I know you’ll look beautiful in this dress. Put it on and then open the front door.” When she opens the front door, you might have an envelope placed there, which sends her on her next adventure.

The clues could go on and on, including little love notes, gifts, and photos. Remember, you don’t want to send her around in circles – she might just get frustrated!

Timing

You should set a time frame in advance. Have you made sure she’s available for an entire day? If so, you might send her on some more involved “clues” like a hair appointment or a visit to a favorite spa. Or, maybe she only has a few hours for a dinner date. Keep in mind that she was not expecting a scavenger hunt, so you should plot a way in advance to make sure she’s free. You might even say, “I have something special planned for Saturday – make sure you’re free!”

Personality Matters

Make sure you take your loved one’s personality into consideration when designing your hunt. Is she the type that will love playing the game, or is she more of a “to the point” woman?

The End Result

Speaking of “to the point,” what exactly is the point of your scavenger hunt? Will you be leading her to an unexpected guest? A surprise holiday? Maybe you’ve been living in separate cities and she’s not expecting to see you in person. A scavenger hunt can also be a fun way to share some unexpected news! Are you pregnant, and ready to tell your husband? Maybe you’ve just bought a new house, or found out some exciting news? Incorporating a romantic scavenger hunt into the sharing of news will certainly make it memorable!

A Proposal

If the end result of your romantic scavenger hunt is to be a proposal, it’s time to start planning! The goal is to direct her to a specific time and place, where you will be waiting on one knee with a ring in hand (or something along those lines). You’ll need to start by making the clues. A romantic scavenger hunt can take place in your home, around your neighborhood, or it could even lead her to an airplane ticket and a packed suitcase! Don’t be afraid to be bold and come up with something that will truly blow her away.

A romantic scavenger hunt is a fun and unexpected way to warm your partner’s heart. Make the most of it by coming up with some truly creative ideas!
