Romantic Gestures
-- Romantic Gestures --
Now and then, it’s nice to show the people we care about just how much we care about them! Your gestures are always appreciated. Whether you’re trying to capture the heart of a new love interest or just reasserting the powerful feelings you have for the love of your life, a small gesture here and there is always appreciated.
Small GesturesThe best way to add romance to your life is to incorporate the idea into your every day life. Proposing on top of the Eiffel Tower is very romantic, and all well and good, but it’s the everyday gestures that will truly capture your partner’s heart. A few small things you can do: -Tuck sweet little love notes in unexpected places, such as in his briefcase, or in her favorite box of cereal. -Remember small anniversaries and celebrate them with grandeur, such as the anniversary of your first kiss or the first time you met her parents. -Bring flowers home or have them delivered “just because” – not only on a holiday! -Send romantic texts throughout the day letting your honey know just how much you miss him. -Come home with her favorite chocolate truffle, in a box with a pretty ribbon on a Wednesday evening, with a note saying it’s just because she’s beautiful!
Big TimeThere are certainly times in life that call for a little more splendor. A gesture is a wonderful way to celebrate milestones in life, such as engagements, birthdays, births and pregnancies, and moving in together. Celebrate these moments with creativity and true romance. Small gifts always show that you have been thinking of her – present her with romantic gifts such as perfume or jewelry. Just be sure to add a personal twist to it! Select gifts carefully, and choose something that you know she will love. Write, “will you marry me” in the sand! Be bold, and be creative – big romantic gestures are all about having the self-confidence to follow through with an often-elaborate plan. Big gestures might include booking a surprise holiday, treating her to an unexpected afternoon at the spa, or booking a day off work just to spend time together.
Romantic "at Home" GesturesYou don’t need to book reservations at the most expensive restaurant in town to steal her heart. You can be romantic in the comfort of your own home! Run her a bubble bath, or offer to give her a massage by candlelight. Play some light music in the background. Surprise him by cooking his favorite dinner, or having a favorite dessert from your favorite bakery tucked away for after your meal. Don’t be afraid to do things that you might otherwise deem “cheesy.” Go ahead – dim the lights, and light a candle or two. Being romantic is more of a mindset than anything else! Romantic gestures come from the heart and speak to the soul. If you’ve never done much in the way of romance, start off small. A few romantic gestures here and there will pave the way to a romantic relationship, where you both do little things just to make each other happy. After all, isn’t that what romance is all about?
