At Matterhorn, you’ll find the famous peak – although unless you’re an accomplished mountain climber, you might not want to attempt to tackle it! The world famous ski resort, Zermatt, is in the foothills of the mountain though, so if you’re flush with cash, and looking for a luxe holiday, why not spend a few days there? Of course, there are cities like Zurich, Geneva and Berne, with fantastic architecture, culture and nightlife, as well as many more attractions, and they should also be on your Swiss holiday itinerary, but remember to venture a little off the beaten track.
