Places To Visit In Japan

If there’s one place everyone should visit at least once, it’s Japan. This little country really has it all. Whether you like the bright lights of the city, exploring ancient culture, or are looking for great deals on electronic goods, the land of the rising sun is for you!
TokyoIf you’ve ever seen the bright lights of Tokyo in the movies, you might be prepared for this city. Then again, Tokyo is just so different, you might not be! Tokyo has everything from restaurants, bars and pubs, to traditional sights and sounds, but its pace is frantic! It’s a good idea, if you want to visit Tokyo, to do it first, so that you have time to recover on the rest of your trip!
Nikko ShrinesNot far from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, and a great choice for a day trip (and it will let you come down from the high the city creates). The shrine complex at Nikko is a sacred pilgrimage for most Japanese, and will give you a great view into the spiritual and traditional side of Japanese culture. Another town you might like to visit for the same reason is Kamakura, with its shrines, as well as a world famous Buddha. -- Places To Visit In Japan --

KyotoJapan’s former capital is less frenetic than Tokyo, so if you want to visit a city in Japan, but don’t feel up to the pace of Tokyo, it’s a great choice. It’s also got an interesting history, having been the home of the emperor, and the capital of Japan for over a thousand years. So if you like history, culture and architecture, it’s a good place to find them.
Hiroshima and NagasakiHiroshima, if you don’t know, was the site of the bomb blast that ended the Second World War. Far from being a depressing place though, it’s been converted into a bit of a shrine to peace. Whether you go for the history, or because you need to find your own peace, it’s definitely worth a visit. Nagasaki on the other hand, was also partially destroyed by bombs in the Second World War, but is also a major sea port. This means that it’s got the most westernized culture in most of Japan. A great place to visit if you’re feeling homesick! -- Places To Visit In Japan --
DaisetsuzanDaisetsuzan is in the north of Japan, and is a national park. The contrast to Tokyo is mind boggling, but if you want to see wild Japan, with its vegetation, water, and animal life, this national park has to be on your agenda. Whatever you visit Japan for, whether it’s the ultra modern Tokyo and it’s electric atmosphere, the spiritual and cultural experience, or even if you just really, really love sushi, you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you take a good camera with, because there are sure to be lots of photo opportunities, whether it’s the famous cherry blossoms, or the amazing temples or Buddha’s, and since there’s very little English spoken in most of Japan, it’s a great place to feel closer to your beloved. It is, however, an amazing holiday destination, and if you love different destinations, this is one you shouldn’t miss. -- Places To Visit In Japan --
