My Phantom

My senior year in high school I was completely obsessed with the phantom of the opera. my boyfriend at the time knew that and planned the best thing ever for my birthday

In the movie the phantom leaves his love Christine a single red rose with a black bow on her dressing table every night after she performed. In the end christines husband visits her grave and sees one last red rose with the beautiful ring that the phantom had once forced upon christines finger.

The day of my birthday in everyone of my classes on my desk was a beautiful red rose with a note tied to it with a black bow. each note had either lyrics or lines said in the movie and signed "Your Phantom". later that night I arrived for dinner as instructed my friends were waiting at the table for me but my boyfriend was nowhere to be found. all of the sudden I heard the phantom of the opera music start playing and my boyfriend came around the corner with a cape and mask on (dressed as the phantom). He then presented me with one last single red rose with a beautiful prosime ring tied to it.

We are no longer together but it still remains to this day the single most romantic thing a guy has ever done for me.
