Florida Travel Guide

If you’re planning a trip, consider travelling to Florida, America’s Sunshine State!

This beautiful part of the United States has great beaches, nightlife, the Florida Keys to explore, fabulous food and more. If you like balmy weather, busy cities and friendly, relaxed locals, then Florida may just be the destination for you.

Miami

You cannot go to Florida without going to Miami! If you like heat, Miami’s got it. And a whole lot more. The rhythm of salsa, some of the hippest clubs around, and more pink plastic flamingos than you could imagine!

What really makes Miami interesting is the fusion of Caribbean, Latin and American cultures. It’s really a city where you can enjoy a little bit of everything – romantic sunset walks on the beach, fantastic food, para-sailing, and arts and culture. It’s definitely hot in this city!

Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is the choice for you if you like to travel first class all the way. It’s a millionaire’s playground, and has some amazing luxury resorts and hotels.

Charter a boat and take a leisurely trip down the more than one hundred miles of navigable waterways, or go to Bahia Mar Yacht Basin to charter a fishing boat for some deep sea adventure. Whether you’re already well heeled, or you’d like to pretend you are while you’re on holiday, Fort Lauderdale is a great place to do it.

Key Largo

Key Largo is the largest of the Florida Keys, a string of coral islands that are world famous for beaches, sport fishing and water sports. The islands have a variety of hotels and resorts, and some of them have private beaches – perfect if you’re looking for a romantic breakaway by the sea.

There are also a few unique sights in Key Largo – the Christ of the Deep, a nine foot bronze statue submerged under twenty feet of water is one. Whether you choose to exert yourself by snorkeling, or explore the turquoise waters and reefs on a glass bottomed boat, the Keys are well worth a visit.

Orlando

You might know that Orlando is a modern, bustling city. What you definitely know is that there are theme parks galore here!Everyone should visit Walt Disney’s magic kingdom at least once, and then there’s Sea World, Epcot Center and many other attractions that will let you let your hair down, and maybe bring back a little magic to your life – you can even swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove!

Daytona

Daytona Beach is world famous. Twenty three miles of pristine, white beach, and one where you can still rent a quad bike, for an exhilarating ride down the sand! Or, if you want an adrenaline rush of a different sort, visit the Daytona International Speedway for NASCAR and other racing events.

Star Gazing of a Different Sort

Florida Travel GuideFlorida is also home to the Kennedy Space Centre, and Cape Canaveral. If you’re fascinated by space, or just want to see some of the real rockets and other craft that have actually travelled to the stars, this is an amazing place to visit. The only problem with Florida, I think, is that there’s so much to see and do, you’re likely to return home more tired than when you left! Of course, what you do is up to you, and your holiday could be a whirlwind tour of the sights, or a relaxing stay by the sea. Learn the sexy salsa, eat glorious food, explore reefs, or anything else that tickles your fancy.
