Fiji Vacations
-- Fiji Vacations --

So you’re wondering why you should visit Fiji.. Well, aside from a colorful past, that included a reputation as the “cannibal isles” there’s a lot on offer in this island nation, which answers the question quite nicely.
The CountrysideWhen you say countryside, you probably think mainland – meadows, rolling hills, and other big mainland features. Fiji, however, is made up of thousands of islands, scattered throughout the pacific, f which only three hundred and twenty two are considered inhabitable due to size and only one hundred and six actually have a human population. What that means is that when you visit Fiji, the opportunities to visit islands where you really are the only people for miles around, really are there! -- Fiji Vacations -- Hot SpringsThanks to volcano’s, which are now dormant, there are hot springs on some of the Fiji islands, where you can spend some time relaxing. Then again, since Fiji’s weather is generally either hot and humid, or hot and dry, depending on the time of year you visit, you may prefer to cool off, rather than heat up!

Explore the WildernessIf you like hiking, nature, animals and just plain wild and natural landscapes, then in Fiji, you’ll be spoilt for choice. These islands have everything from extinct volcanoes you can visit, thick forests and coconut groves to savannah and grasslands. Bird life is amazing, and if you enjoy bird watching, this is a great place to do it, and since the only native mammals are bats, you’re pretty safe when you take a trail through the countryside. -- Fiji Vacations -- Viti Levu Viti Levu is the Fijian mainland. It’s where most of the people live, and most of the activity happens. So once you’re tired of exploring the deserted islands, untouched wilderness and beautiful beaches, if that happens, you’ll have some entertainment on hand. Pacific Harbor is ideal if you want to try out scuba diving in the amazing soft coral reefs, kayaking, white water rafting, and some of the best golfing in the south Pacific. In Suva, the capital, there are cinemas where you can take in a movie, restaurants for a romantic candlelit meal of local specialties, and night clubs where you can dance the night away. There’s colorful, interesting architecture, monuments and cultural experiences, and everything else you might want to explore the real history and culture of the islands.
Festivals Have you ever noticed that islands like these, in beautiful parts of the world, where locals live in paradise, seem to have a whole lot of festivals? I’d also be planning parties all the time if I could live in a place like this, and Fiji is no different. Plan your trip for August, and join in the celebration of the Hibiscus Festival, or make your trip in September to celebrate the Sugar Festival, there are also Diwali celebrations, when the Hindu islanders celebrate the festival of lights, and many other celebrations throughout the year. Fiji is an amazing place, and whether you stay in one of the luxury resorts, or find your own deserted island to enjoy the sun, sand and sea, you’re sure to have an amazing time, and lose your heart to these islands. If you get the chance, go. Without a doubt. -- Fiji Vacations --
