Creat a Romantic Bed for Valentine's Day

Draping beautiful gauzy fabric over your bed adds a romantic touch
Draping beautiful fabric or gauzy material over your bed lends a cocoon effect in the bedroom - perfect for lingering in bed with your beloved. I draped some gauze fabric over and around a wrought iron canopy bed recently - and added some off white silk roses to add additional romance (and to hide where I twisted the fabric with wire).
You can do it very easily if you already have a canopy bed - but even if you don't, you can drape fabric with s-hooks on the ceiling - or create a pole and drape around your bed. Here's link from Redbook magazine on how to do that:

Or - purchase a beautiful bed crown and place that on the wall behind the bed and drape fabric from the crown to the sides of the bed. Horchow's and many other catalogues have beautiful, decorative bed crowns that have a rod within them to drape fabric easily.
Just add some roses at bedside, soft candle glow, chocolates and a bottle of champagne - and you're ready for love - even on a budget!
