If you’re planning a trip to the Caribbean, chances are, sun, sand and sea, are what you’re looking for. Choosing any one of the many islands and resorts in the Caribbean will certainly result in a great holiday, but here are a few of the more unknown activities and attractions that might help make the tough choice a little easier.
JamaicaIf you think Bob Marley, and lazing on beaches when you think Jamaica, you’re half right. There are many, many other things to do in Jamaica though. Like taking a wild ride in a tube on a Jungle River Tubing Safari in Montego Bay or Negril. Or how about taking the Bob Marley Experience, and learning more about the legend. Then again if you like the idea of sipping fruit punch at sunset, take the Rick’s Café Cruise, enjoy your cocktail, and watch adrenaline junkies jumping off the cliffs!
Take a Dinner CruiseIf your desire for a Caribbean break takes you to the Bahamas, why not take the Nassau Majestic Lady Dinner Cruise, learn the limbo, and sample the fantastic food of the islands? If you’re looking for romance, standing alongside the rail of the ship, watching the twinkling lights of the islands is a great place to find it! -- Caribbean Vacations --

Explore the History of RumIf there’s one thing that defines the islands (besides beaches, calypso rhythms and sun) it’s probably rum. Most of the islands still have sugar plantations after all! Find out more about the history of rum, and get a chance to sample the local wares, by visiting the Rum Distillery, in San Juan Puerto Rico. Just don’t overdo it, or at least, don’t plan anything too strenuous for the following day!
Monster Truck Anyone? It may sound strange to be contemplating taking a monster truck ride in the islands, but if you’re going to be in the Dominican Republic, and you don’t mind a little bit of a bumpy ride, that’s exactly what you can do. The Monster Truck Safari takes you on a wild, 8x8 ride over parts of the country you would never see otherwise. -- Caribbean Vacations --
Go Sailing All of the islands in the Caribbean have sailing trips on offer. Some are sunset cruises, where you can get cozy with your beloved. Others are chartered deep sea fishing boats, which give you (or your partner) a chance to wrestle with big game fish. If you’re in St Lucia, take the Catamaran Day Trip, swim, and snorkel and explore, after enjoying the Creole buffet, full of exotic flavors. The Caribbean really has everything. Romantic isolated hideaways, relaxed pubs and clubs, the opportunity to meet and mingle with the locals, and lots of fascinating history. Think pirates, voodoo, steel drums and spicy food. You could always spend your entire holiday doing nothing more strenuous than rubbing sun tan lotion into your skin as you bake on the white beaches, but then again, with so many other activities on offer, you can try lots of things that will make for a more interesting photo album! -- Caribbean Vacations --
