Cancun Beaches and More!

Cancun Beaches

Whether you’re looking for a wild party, or a more sedate holiday, Cancun has something for you.

The tropical climate, combined with so many options of things to do and see, mean that no matter what you want from your Mexican holiday, you’ll find it in Cancun.

In the Water

A big draw card in Cancun is the beach. Just lying on the sand perfecting your tan may be your idea of heaven, but if you want a little more excitement, Cancun has that too. Swimming with dolphins is one of your options, and there are a few tour operators that offer packages. Then again you could also parasail, scuba dive or go fishing. If you’d like to stay dry, you can charter a boat. Some of them offer fishing, and have an open bar, so if you aren’t an angling enthusiast, but your partner is, go with, have a cocktail or two, admire the scenery, and work on your tan!

Explore the Ruins

Cancun is a party destination, and the perfect spot for relaxing alongside the Caribbean. It’s also a historic area though, and there are several fascinating Mayan ruins in the area too. If you like history and culture, then a trip to Chichen Iza, Tulum or Coba are a great idea! Here you can see ruins of temples, like the seventy five foot Kukulkan pyramid, or the Sacred Wall, which may make the hairs on your arms stand on end. It’s here that Mayan priests offered sacrifices to the gods! Then again, you could always go to Xcaret, the eco-archaeological park. Visit genuine ruins, see baby turtles in the nursery, or stay for nightfall, and traditional Mexican dance and music,

Bullfighting

It’s not politically correct, and yes, it is cruel. But bullfighting is still very popular in many Spanish speaking countries, and Mexico is no different. If you want to see this slice of culture, with the fantastic pre show dancing, music and the feeling of excitement in the crowd, then you might want to pay the fight a visit.
