Are you a celebrity junkie? Do you know all the latest Hollywood gossip? Do you want to see the home of the stars, visit movie studios, and see where all the silver screen magic happens? Then you have to visit Hollywood, the home of the movies! Take a snapshot of the famous letters on the mountain, visit one of the sets of your favorite movies, or just do a little star gazing. The magic of the movies is everywhere in Hollywood, so go find it!

The Golden Gate Bridge

If your Californian getaway takes you to San Francisco, why not take a walk across the most famous landmarks of the City by the Bay? Walk across at sunset, and watch the sun light up the bay, as the city lights switch on like twinkling stars. What could be more romantic than taking the stroll hand in hand with your beloved, before heading off to dinner at one of the cities fine restaurants, or visit one of the clubs.

Beaches

From Malibu to Venice Beach, there’s a beautiful beach in California for everyone. Whether you like your beaches isolated, lonely and romantic, or with lots of action, in the form of street entertainers, or even if you like to surf, or would like to learn, California has a beach for you.

Fine Wines

Another great way to experience California is to take a trip to one of the state’s fine vineyards, enjoy a sampling of their products, and just enjoy the great weather, and beautiful scenery.

Then, if you really want to end a perfect day in a perfect way, why not take a picnic to the beach, or to one of the forests or wilderness areas in California.

Quirky and Wonderful

California isn’t all beaches, movie stars and fantastic scenery though. If you like something a little different or you want to do something fun, there are some great choices for you too. There’s the Pez dispenser museum for one thing, and the magic of Disneyland for another. Feel like a kid again with these and other slightly quirky and offbeat attractions.

Skiing

Believe it or not, California does get snow! If you want to experience it, you can take a trip to Lake Tahoe, and spend some time on the slopes, before retiring to a romantic evening at the resort. Then again, if you want a mountain experience with a difference, you could always visit Mount Shasta Volcano.

Whether you want glitz and glamor, fantastic night clubs in LA, beautiful beaches, or arts and culture, California has something for you. Then again, there’s also natural beauty, sun, sand and sea. If you do go to California, you are assured of a never to be forgotten experience.
