It seems silly to be telling you why you should visit the Bahamas! Just mentioning the name is enough to convince most people to take a trip to this island paradise. But just in case you need a little convincing, here are a few more reasons to visit the Bahamas.
Swim with Marine LifeOnce you’ve spent some time on the beach, you might be looking forward to some time in the water. Why not take a trip to Blue Lagoon Island, and combine it with a swim with dolphins? This is a once in a lifetime chance to pet, feed and even dance with these beautiful creatures, and just the fact that you have to book well in advance tells you how popular this is! On the other hand, a visit to Stingray City lets you swim with stingrays, eels and other more exotic denizens of the deep. -- Bahamas Holidays --
Walk on the Ocean FloorForget snorkeling or scuba diving! The Bahamas has a unique way for you to explore the ocean. If you choose to take the undersea walk, you’re fitted with a weighted mask, then, you walk along the ocean floor, among the fish and other marine life. If you’re travelling with a partner, this is one unique place to walk hand in hand, and you can buy pictures to remind you of your underwater walk. Of course, if you do want to try scuba diving too, there are several tour and dive operators on the island that can arrange it for you. However you see it, the waters of the Bahamas are a great place to explore, and you should definitely make a point of seeing them!

Sample Bacardi RumThere are a few things that automatically make you think of the Caribbean – calypso, jerked dishes, and rum! While you’re in the Bahamas, take a tour of the Bacardi distillery, and sample their rum. You can also shop in their store and stock up on gifts for friends back home. -- Bahamas Holidays --
Pink BeachOf course, if you’re going to the Bahamas, you’re probably planning to spend a lot of your time on the beach. Even then, you can do something a little different – Harbor Island has a world famous pink beach! Of course, there are many, many others, so you could really spend each day on a different stretch of sand, whether it’s pink, or the usual white!
Versailles GardensIf art interests you, make sure you make time for a visit to Versailles gardens, where some exquisite pieces, brought over from France, are on display. Since it’s free to the public, there’s no excuse not to have a look, and the art, and the gardens themselves, are certainly worth a look.
GolfGrand Bahama Island has some of the world’s most amazing golf courses, as does Paradise Island and others. Whether you go to play a round, or just to take in the scenery, it’s a great way to spend a day out. Of course, there’s no need to sell the idea of a holiday in the Bahamas. Just the thought of the beaches, romantic resorts, friendly people and crystal clear waters is enough to convince most people! If you can manage to tear yourself away from your lounger though, why not try one of these other activities? Combined with a fantastic island style meal and cocktails at sunset, any one would make for the perfect day! -- Bahamas Holidays --
