Aruba Vacations

If you’re looking for a great Caribbean holiday destination, with a few unique attractions, then Aruba might just be the place for you. Then again, since it’s hot and dry rather than humid, so if you’re not a fan of sticky heat, but like hot and sunny, this is the ideal choice for you!

Then again, the slightly out of the ordinary is also combined with friendly people, quaint chapels and interesting architecture, along with beaches where you can laze on the white sand with a cocktail in your hand, so there’s something for everyone.

Butterflies

If you want some of the most beautiful, unique and amazing holiday snapshots, take a trip to the Aruba Butterfly Farm. Hundreds of unique, beautiful butterflies float in this mesh enclosure, between the rich natural vegetation are a sight you won’t soon forget. There are so many varieties of butterfly on display, and they look like floating flowers. Absolutely beautiful!

Aruba Vacations

Arikok National Park

One of the things that make Aruba unique among the islands of the Caribbean is the desert landscape. No less beautiful than the tropical forests of other islands, why not plan a trip here, to see the age old Arawak drawings, and the giant lizards that live on the island, or just watch the sun set over the desert of Aruba?

There are guides available in the park, and around twenty miles of walking trails, so if you like nature, and are up to a little physical activity, you can take a leisurely stroll through the desert, and explore the natural beauty of the island.

See the Island from the Top of the Lighthouse

For a unique view of the island of Aruba, take a drive out to California Point lighthouse. If you like great scenery, this isolated area is a must see. You could also catch a glimpse of the 100 year old wreck of the California, lying just offshore, for which the point is named.

Pirates and Bats

If you like the idea of visiting caves that were really occupied by pirates, then a trip to Guadiriki caves is a great idea. They’re also pretty unique, because at certain times of day, some of the chambers are filled with light. Then again, if you’re not scared of the dark, you could explore a hundred foot tunnel, that leads to an active bat cave. Spooky, but also a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Numismatic Museum

If you like money, and who doesn’t, why not pay a visit to the Numismatic Museum? It’s got a huge collection of coins and Aruba Vacation Spotspaper money from around the world, and was started by a man who is fascinated with all things currency related!

Of course, Aruba also has all the other hallmarks of the Caribbean – warm waters, white beaches, romantic resorts, and the rhythm of the islands. Its mixture of Dutch heritage and Spanish influences, as well as native culture, makes it an interesting cultural experience.

So if you like your Caribbean holidays with a touch of culture, and a little of the unexpected, and out of the ordinary, then Aruba might just be the right choice for you. Of course, you could always just go for the beaches, warm waters, and the romance of the Caribbean.
