A Veiled Gem
The Painted Veil Although this is ONE of my favorites, I'm surprised it is very rarely considered on romantic lists, so I decided to bring it up: The Painted Veil, starring Edward Norton and Naomi Watts. It is mainly a drama film that involves love but displays it in a sense similar to 'When Harry Met Sally' where the characters grow outside the relationship, and we see this growth in them so the story is even more fulfilling. There are no beds covered in roses, sweeping poetry read to the lover, but there is still a sweet something to it and I just love the story as a whole. It's about growth in love and life. Remember, give 'The Painted Veil' a try.
